Chappie, my best wishes for a quick and full recovery. I’m back out on the pitch again, and you should be too. This flu thing has got to Go! Looking forward to hearing about you being out of hospital, on your way home and ready to resume your life again. Heal Brother!,

We talk often that rugby is about more than what happens on the pitch .. that the true measure of success comes in our journeys off the pitch.
Well, its time to walk the walk.
Ron Myers of the referee association as well as friends and neighbors from Seaside brought my attention to the challenges that John Chapman and his family now face. Specific Information can be found at this blog: http://www.johnchapmanseaside.blogspot.com/
John is a rugger... its time to answer the call.
A $100 donation has been made in the name of the Willamette Rugby Football Club. Pass the word ... keep John and his family in your thoughts and prayers..
I thought you said the medium shorts fit? This is not the way to fit into the mediums. Some times the larger size is just necessary. Don't make it about the size, make it about how they look and feel. That is what they tell you on What Not to Wear. Get better so you can fix your hair, please.
I know you have been knocked for a loop, but you will be back on your feet soon to answer the bell. Liam, Nola and I have you in our thoughts and prayers and I will send a care package of only the best swag when I hear from you next.
Chappy: You and Karen and your family are in our prayers. Thank you for everything that you have done, continue to do and will do in the future for our community. You’d be pretty proud of the way people – all sorts of people – have rallied to your support. Everything I know about the Miss Clatsop County program I learned from you and Miss Dana. We’ll all take that trip to Mexico once you’re better and OK to travel, I promise! And if the doctors give you the OK, I have some nice merlot with your name on it at the restaurant! Love, TeamNewman
I trust you are recovering from the bug and on the mend. We have all had it here back home in Blighty but not as bad as you. Our prays are with you and your family. As I have only just got the news from the OSU newsletter sent out by Mark, I hope that things have turned now and they'll have you fitting fit again soon.
Each day we're glad to hear that you are getting better. Your faith in the healing powers of prayer and God I know are what is working. Ya probably a little bit of the medical help your getting there as well. I've told everyone that I can think of and more, so all of Clatsop Co. is pulling four you. John I know that you hair was getting on your nerves, but this was not the easiest way to get Erin to come home. So it doesn't count. The soccer team is doing well. Of course they beat Astoria 3-0. Enough is enough, Karen please let me do whatever you need, just call me, I'm available. If the kids need help with homework, church duties, cleaning, or just to talk or cry with, let me know. We love you all and look forward to having you all back home safe and sound.
This has probably been one of the hardest things that you have had to go through as a family, but because of who you are and your faith, we know that everything will turn out ok! Seaside needs the Chapman family back. We all miss you. Tennaya needs Lizzy back at school because it is not the same without her. Please, please call us if you need anything and do not feel you are asking too much from us because you are always there for everyone. Please take care of yourselves and remember how lucky you are to have each other. Love, The Carr Family
I'm not up to doin B-panel stuff, damn it. And to top it off, Zimmerman tears a footy fascha or some such thing. We're droppin like flies out here. If you're fakin this to get outta runnin, you're on my poop list! Get well soon - that's an order.
Everyone here at the convention center is pulling for you to have a full recovery, you are in our thoughts and prayers each and everyday. Get well soon and hurry back to your perch high above Broadway Ave. Take care and best wishes.
