I think what everyone is working on here is twofold:
(1).John has to get weaned off the ventilator,awake, weaned off the dialysis, weaned off the pain killers and he has to get literally on his feet again.Every day takes us closer and not further from those goals. As Karen said the prayers are working. So please keep them coming. And, that's from a Unitarian who is thinking of converting when this is over.
(2). We all have to pull together to help John's family get figuratively back on their feet. We at the Chappy Team are getting many generous offers of support and ideas in this regard. We are not ignoring your kind intentions, keep those coming too. Please give us time to sort this out and do the best things for John's family as well.

One of the family members please very lightly hit him on his arm for me & tell him he has taken this weight lose contest with Neal a bit to far & it is time to wake up & get back to work.
